So, what is sober living all about?
Sober living environments go by many names: transitional living facilities or centers, sober living house, sober living home, recovery home or just sober home. Whatever it is called, it is an alcohol-free, drug-free living environment. One that is supportive of the residents efforts to live clean and sober.
What sober living is NOT: addiction treatment, alcohol treatment, drug treatment, detoxification or detox for short. Referrals can be provided for those services if requested.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
1. Sober and have an active personal recovery program.
2. No alcohol or illicit drug use.
3. Personally clean and good housekeeper.
4. Proven ability to live in a shared living environment.
5. Able to support yourself or have support provided.
6. Attend self-help meetings regularly.
7. Provide two personal references.
We encourage a minimum stay of thirty days but also encourage six to nine months or more. In some of the recovery studies a stay in sober living for one year increases the positive outcome of sobriety significantly to 80-90%. We also realize that family responsibilities may have some bearing on the length of stay. We will work with you to find the best solution for your particular situation.
Our rooms are very large with 10' ceilings with a maximum of two ladies per room. We also can periodically accommodate someone who wishes a private room. Of course that would be for an additional cost. Our beds are new and amenities are very nice. You will find our home to be very comfortable and an inviting environment. We especially welcome ladies who are 35 years old and better!
Also, we have a maximum of 8 residents in 4 of our 5 bedrooms. The fifth room is reserved for Staff. We have no bunk beds and no more than two persons per room. There is a bathroom for each two resident bedrooms. Three of the bedrooms have mirrored closet doors.
At this time we do not provide meals, but residents who so choose shop and prepare menus and meals together. Otherwise you would provide your own food. We have ample refrigeration and storage accommodations to comfortably serve your needs.
In our Library room, we have a variety of books on healthy living, recovery and sobriety that are available to be checked out and read by residents. We also have DVDs on similar subjects including such topics as healing foods, dealing with ADD/ADHD, Depression and Anxiety, mental health issues, brain health, financial education, etc.
LODGING FEE: $995 a month for a shared bedroom and the possibility of a private room in some situations (for additional cost). This ocean view facility is a custom 5 bedroom home which includes jacuzzi tub in master, furnishings, utilities, TV, wireless internet, Library/TV/computer room, 2 fireplaces, washer/dryer, and just seconds from the beach. A one time $100 drug test fee plus first month rent required for admission.
The facility is a beautiful, new, custom built, five-bedroom (large rooms), three-bath home on a large lot. It is democratically managed by the residents. Self-managed sober living is designed to increase self-responsibility and support for recovering people.
